I paint in oil and watercolor, but I also experiment with other media and my experience in design can be found in some of my art creations. I am mostly self-taught. As an independent artist I have total creative freedom. I paint what matter in my life and subject matter depends in my mood & time of year.

In 2008 I am adding doll/bear/character making to my repertoire. It will allow me to indulge my imagination in a three dimensional way. Every day I wake up charged and can't wait to get in to the studio to create. My head is filled with endless idea. I go to sleep with my drawing pad by my side and wake up with new ideas waiting to be realized. My life motto is creating, learning and doing and I have found total fulfillment with what I do everyday.

I am pleased to report that I am finally have an additional larger studio just to paint. It's in my basement and all set up just for oil, watercolor and mixed media work. I also have a packing and shipping area which should make everything so much easier!
Any work that I do with fabric is done in my 2nd smaller studio on the first floor.

PaulCézanne wrote In a letter to his friend Emile Bernard... "The Louvre is the book in which we learn to read. We must not, however, be satisfied with retaining the beautiful formulas of our illustrious predecessors. Let us go forth to study beautiful nature, let us try to free our minds from them, let us try to express ourselves according to our own personal temperament!"
This expresses perfectly how I feel about art, my work. - Ginette -
