If you are trying to visit my ETSY store right now it’s on vacation mode. Since I am away and can’t ship I decided to just put it on vacation mode but it will be open as son as I return.

Yesterday I went to Sullivan Island. I liked the beach even better then the one on Isle of Palms. They are both nice places to visit. Afterward I went to Shem Creek n Mt. Pleasant. Then I went on to the Weekly Market there. I met “Rina” who has a stand where she sells her home made Jams & Salsa. I just had some of her Peach & Orange Marmalade and it is divine. I bought some of her Salsa that I tasted, it’s really out f this world. I can’t wait to use it in one of my Vegan recipes. Rina is originally from Italy and has lived in South Carolina for over 30 years.

I have to say the people of Charleston and mt. Pleasant are about the friendliest people I have met in a long time. Very accommodating. Living in the Atlanta area I am used to bad attitudes and it’s easy to forget that there are actually nice people out there. I feel I fit right in here. I do wish there were more Vegan restaurants but the restaurants are very accommodating in adjusting dishes to fit my needs. Across the street is a whole food market. The town of Mt. Pleasant across from Charleston via the Arthur Ravenell Bridge is indeed very pleasant. I can’t remember when I last felt so save walking around at any time of the day. It’s definitely much different then my neighborhood, where I live. Makes you wonder why are things so different there from here.

It’s time to get some new inspiration and to get to paint on local again in Charleston.

Right now I am checking to find a vacation rental at my budget in the historic center or close by. When I’ll be in Charleston depends on what I can get at what time. In any case I’m planning to stay two weeks at least.

If you know a nice small place to rent, let me know. Remember my budget is small. The top of my budget for two weeks is a $1000 for a place to stay for two weeks.
